Description

The entrance and hallway feature magnificent hand crafted wooden architecture and a stunning fireplace. The spiral carved stairway leads to the second floor which boasts an outstanding domed roof which is admired by everyone.

We have a variety of rooms which include: singles, doubles, twins, family rooms and dormitory style rooms! Towels are available.

Continental Breakfast (cornflakes, toast tea and coffee) is included in the price of your accomodation. Our prices start at £20 per room per night for a single room. Double and twin rooms are from £35.00 per room. Please note that our prices change depending what time of the year it is. Dorm beds are from £7.50

We welcome all groups (schools, college?s hen and stag parties)ALL GROUPS MUST PAY A BOND OF £20.00 (this will be returned upon inspection of rooms and also if there has been no grievances during the stay)

We are undergoing a major refurbishment programme, and have completed both ground floor toilets and showers and will have our other three floors completed by the beginning of the summer season!

We do not accept credit cards for payment on arrival!

Check-in is from 1pm - 10:30pm. Late arrivals after midnight will be refused entry and your deposit will not be refunded. Late arrivals between 10.30 pm and midnight will incur a £5.00 late charge fee if the hostel is informed in advance. In the case of a travel delay, please inform us as soon as possible; please take notice of the cancellation policy.

DIRECTIONS

We are only 10 minutes walking distance from the centre of Edinburgh and Princes St, and the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle.

From Airport To Palmerston Lodge by Airport Coach, ask to be let off at Haymarket train station follow direction of travel along West Maitland St. Palmerston Place is the second street on the left. Walk up Palmerston Place. Palmerston Lodge is on the right just past the Cathedral on corner of Chester St.

St Andrews Bus Station, leave bus station and turn left onto Princes St, follow road along to Shandwick Place then West Maitland Street. Palmerston place is the second turn on the right on West Maitland Street. Walk up Palmerston Place, the lodge is at corner of Chester St just past the Cathedral.

Waverly Station to Palmerston Place can be found by following directions from bus station at point where you are on Princes St.
