Each year, Euro Hostels Ltd lease university accommodation while the students are on their summer vacation. For 2008 we have a fabulous property on offer- Kincaids Court.

Kincaids Court, is just 5 - 10 minutes walk from Waverley Station, right on Cowgate and within easy reach of Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile and Grassmarket. The location is perfect for anyone visiting Edinburgh, whether in town for the festival, sightseeing, touring Scotland or working over the summer.

The accommodation comprises self-contained, fully equipped apartments for either 4, 5 or 12 people. All rooms are either twin or single bedded, sharing ample bathroom facilities (wc, whb and shower) and have within the apartment a lounge and kitchen with sink, electric stove, oven and fridge freezer. It?s an ideal set up whether you are in town with a group or travelling on your own.

Self-service laundry facilities are available and washing powder can be bought at reception. In fact, we sell all sorts of necessities at reception, from electricity adapters and toothpaste to flags and bus tours of Edinburgh and Scotland.

All rooms are equipped with telephones that are linked to reception. We also sell special phone cards for external calling. Breakfast is not included in the room fee but can easily be arranged at a competitive price.

Car parking is available on site at a cost of £9.00 overnight. Please book ahead to avoid disappointment.

Directions

The directions given are for what we consider to be the easiest walking route that avoids lots of steps and steep hills. A quicker route is listed below.

From Waverley Station: Approx 10-12 minute walk.
Take Market St exit. Turn to your left under the bridge and were right up Jeffrey St. Carry on and cross over the High Street (Royal Mile) onto St Mary's Street. Walk down the hill and turn right into Cowgate and continue along about 200 meters. Reception is at Kindcaid's Court located on the Left hand side, corner of Guthrie St and Cowgate.

Alternatively from Waverly Station you can take a right at the Market St exit. Turn right up Cockburn St, over the Royal Mile and down Blair St to the Cowgate. Turn right into Cowgate and the Hostel entrance is in Guthrie St, the first street on your left.

From St Andrews bus station head to Princes St and then to North Bridge. Walk along North Bridge, across the Royal Mile and continue along South Bridge. Turn right into Chambers St and then right again into Guthrie St. Entrance to the hostel is located at the bottom of Guthrie St on the left hand side.
